This is the thirtieth post — and we have a special bird for the occasion: the Bee-eater. It was one of the surprise finds on our first outing to the Norashen Reserve. These birds are said to be common across Armenia… though I am not quite sure I believe that, as I had never seen one until just a few days ago. My dad, however, said that back in his childhood, his grandfather used to regularly task him with scaring Bee-eaters away from the beehives in their back garden.
