We had big plans for the bank holiday weekend — I rented a Nikon Z TC-1.4x, which turned my 180–600mm lens into an 840mm, and I was planning to give it a proper test on a few outings. However, the whole family came down with the flu and all the plans were cancelled. Good thing we maintain a little wild patch in our garden — it has recently burst into full bloom with dandelions, which goldfinches seem to really appreciate. A small group of these lovely birds visited us this morning, and I managed to get a decent shot right through the kitchen window.
