A very elusive little bird — the Treecreeper — lives up to its name, creeping diagonally up trees while collecting insects from the bark, then flying down to the next tree and starting again. The only real chance to spot it is when it flies between trees. I got incredibly lucky with this shot — not only catching it heading vertically up with a lovely background, but also with food in its beak. In fact, we managed to see what was likely its partner on another branch of the same tree, and watched as it passed the food over. Presumably their nest was somewhere nearby.
