Finally had a walk that went more or less as planned — and it ended with some great results. We were walking along the banks of the River Wye, and as soon as we got down there, I thought: this looks like a place to spot a Dipper, maybe even a Wagtail. Sure enough, not five minutes later we saw our first Dipper — and then were treated to a full scene of a very hungry chick being fed by a parent diving into the river for worms. I ended up taking about 120 photos of the whole process and managed to document every part of the scene, but had to pick just one as the featured shot — the photo that best defines the bird.
