This Meadow Pipit was snapped on top of Curbar Edge in the corner of the Peak District. The bird was very patient with me — it let me find a good angle, frame the background, and even sang for us a bit. The soft green backdrop in the photo is actually a hill at least half a mile away, as the top of Curbar Edge is pretty flat.
