It is getting increasingly hard to stick to the rule of sharing only a new bird each day — one we have not seen before — and I am in danger of compromising the quality of the shots. So I have decided to relax that rule a bit, starting with this lovely Stonechat. We have had a Stonechat before from RSPB Pulborough Brooks, but it was a female — not quite as striking in colour. Fun detail about this photo: the very same bush also hosted my first ever Yellowhammer, chirping not a metre away.
