Such a relief to have lifted the self-imposed rule of only sharing birds we have not seen before! Today we had a lovely walk in Regent’s Park, and I got a really nice photo of a Jay with its prey. We first spotted the Jay sitting on a branch, but by the time I got the camera up and focused, it had jumped down onto the trunk and pulled a few insects from under the bark. It then hopped to the ground where I managed to snap one quick shot — on the very next one, the insects were already gone.
