Continuing with the usual suspects: until this occasion, when I saw a Coal Tit next to Blue and Great Tits, I hadn’t realised just how much smaller they are. This particular one flew into the feeder, rummaged around and, having found a rolled oat, perched on a nearby tree branch to consume it. As you can see, its beak is comparable in size to a single rolled oat.
