Long time – no Bee-eater. This photo series was taken on our first day in Camargue back in August. When I was making the photo, I thought I was snapping a bird in flight. Little did I know it was actually a hunting scene — incredibly lucky that the prey was on the exact same focus plane, so it’s visible. The second photo is best enjoyed after the first one.
