Without realising it, I sent the 183rd bird email yesterday, which puts today’s firmly past the six-month mark since this newsletter started. Today’s bird was snapped on our last day in France – at Parc du Marquenterre. We saw this White Stork from a few hides, but each time I was ready to take a shot it would fly off to the next field. We finally caught up with it at the third hide, and I made plenty of photos – the one above chosen for the closest range and the nicest background.
